What Matters? You!

Image
Let me ask all of you a question, “YOU HAVE THIS ONE LIFE. How do you want to spend it? Apologizing? Regretting? Questioning? Hating Yourself? Dieting? Running behind people who DON’T see you? I always get this question in my mind whenever somebody says “Life is Hard”, I am really tempted to know “Compared to what?” It took me around mid 20s of my age to realize that why do we worry about the world coming to an end today; it is already tomorrow in Japan and Australia. In life, we all are free to choose, but we aren’t free from the consequences of our choice. Some choices will be good, some bad, and some of the worst choices might make good stories; but every choice shapes your future. So Cry, Forgive, Learn and Move On! Never let a bad situation bring out the worst in you. Stop complaining about the things you are not willing to change. Remember, the first step in getting what you want is having the courage to get rid of what you don’t. You don’t become strongest wh...

What Broke You?

It’s Time to Move On! -Whatever you thought about while reading this, IT’S GOING TO BE OKAY! My mother always taught me that human behavior flows from sources of desire, knowledge and emotions. It’s emotions that make us humans. Emotions are strong and intuitive feeling which is distinguished from reasoning or knowledge. More than confusing or breaking you, let it be an experience. Here is a thought to not only overcoming emotions but accepting it; accepting our flaws and failures. We must accept the understanding that it’s tears that can make us strong and heartbreaks that makes us wiser. So, please thank your past for a better future. We have to admit this one simple fact which is that how many times we try and visit past, it has nothing new to offer us. Those failures, stupidities, ugly points, imperfections, or heartbreaks; sometimes it does take a good fall to really know where you are standing. The hardest battle that we have ever fought is with ourselves. We have t...

To Mistakes, Regrets and Everything Above!

Image
“There is always that One Stupid Mistake, That Changes Everything!” Today morning while I was deciding to pen something to keep my readers and myself spirited on hopes and idealism. This time I thought to connect on something which is probably an everyday story to all of us.  Let us understand that we have to stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being positive about what could go right! Every day we all struggle, and it does happen that struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If you were to go through your life without any obstacles, you would be disabled and crippled. Probably, we would not be as strong as what we could have been. Give every opportunity a chance! Believe me; the reward is not so great without any struggle story. During our struggle, we do make mistakes! Alexander Pope quoted “TO ERR IS HUMAN”! We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But, we are not only our mistakes, or struggles; we are here in N...

What is To Exist? Freedom!

Image
“And does not true freedom mean choosing ways in this world that to the good of all and are guided by love?” – Pope Francis Reading one of the morning affirmations today, the above stated quote of Pope Francis got my attention and made me wonder that what actually freedom is; whether it is Love, Existence, Self-Reliance, or a State of Mind. Freedom is acceptance, the ability to embrace mistakes, choices that turn out good, bad or ugly and not denying fears. Instead of trying very harsh on making your life perfect, give yourself the freedom to make it an adventure! Freedom as a word never meant breaking chains; rather it is the power to choose your own chains. There is no greater freedom than the freedom to be you. Our minds are powerful thing; we have to fill it with positive thoughts. Here is my secret of Happiness and Being a Free Soul: I DON’T MIND WHAT HAPPENS! Freedom is nothing else than a chance to be better. I believe no one outside ourselves can rule us ...

Larger Than Life!

"Everyone has a story to tell, everyone is a writer. Some are written in the books and some are confined to hearts". – Savi Sharma, Everyone Has A Story With an early winter evening these days, with a cup of coffee and some good fiction reading I sit in my porch. During one of these evenings of solitude routine, I was reading the book of Savi Sharma titled ‘Everyone Has A Story’, I appreciate her art of molding sentences and making us think about our story. I really wondered that day how much do we actually TRUST OUR STORY?! Is living like we want only a misconception? Well, I didn’t wanted “yes” for the answer. Size a bit larger is important to exit normalization. Though there is no doubt about the fact that average is perfection but why just be a performer when you are born to win and to have a well-deserved happily ever after! In the end of a life time don’t regret the choices you didn’t made and the dreams you didn’t fought for. I was never sure what my purp...

It’s Okay, I Understand!

Image
To everyone who struggles either fighting yourself or the enemies you can’t see like the voices that swift unseen or whisper in ears; the darkness who feel within your heart; that anxiety or panic attacks. Today, I want to share about the importance of communication when it comes to mental illness sensed in oneself. According to the statistics released by WHO Report in Times of India , not only do 56 million Indians or 4.5% of India’s population suffer from depression at this moment but another 38 million Indians suffer from anxiety disorders. Almost 7.5% of Indians suffer from major or minor mental disorders that require expert interventions. So, this article is to address everyone who is currently undergoing the process of diagnoses, medication, or are unable to understand what’s “wrong” with them and all they know right now is that they feel messed – Don’t be tempted to make sure you don’t make it through. Its okay, I understand! What to do we need to do when in midst...

Why? What So Wrong with Being Average?

Image
Stephen Hawking quoted “One of the Basic Rules of the Universe is that nothing is perfect. Perfection simply doesn’t exist…Without imperfection, neither you nor I would exist”. This thought got me in the dilemma, rather made me realise that why we don’t have a growing appreciation for basic experiences of life. All of us I seem have confused ourselves between progress and perfection. It is important for people to transfer the attention and energy into striving for progress and grow instead of perfection. Because I really haven’t met a single human who even has got a “perfect” definition of “perfection”; I strongly stand in favour that there is less probability of perfection even existing. I stand in the defence of being average about everything, why do even we get into the question of making everything so extra ordinary? Why is not being normal or content about things or individuality not appreciated? The beauty of an average human being is that of doing everything...
