What Matters? You!
Let me ask all of you
a question, “YOU HAVE THIS ONE LIFE. How do you want to spend it? Apologizing?
Regretting? Questioning? Hating Yourself? Dieting? Running behind people who
DON’T see you?
I always get this question in my
mind whenever somebody says “Life is Hard”, I am really tempted to know
“Compared to what?” It took me around mid 20s of my age to realize that why do
we worry about the world coming to an end today; it is already tomorrow in
Japan and Australia.
In life, we all are free to choose, but we aren’t free from the
consequences of our choice. Some choices will be good, some bad, and
some of the worst choices might make good stories; but every choice shapes your
future. So Cry, Forgive, Learn and Move On!
Never let a bad situation bring
out the worst in you. Stop complaining about the things you are not willing to
change. Remember, the first step in getting what you want is having the courage
to get rid of what you don’t. You don’t become strongest when you show strength
in front of others but when you win the battles no one knew anything about. I
know all of us have a new adventure probably everyday that doesn’t only tears
us apart, but shatters and drains us emotionally. But still, understand that
you have to fight your own war and win; because all you did yesterday, all your
scars, all your victories are already at stake. It’s just one more time in
everyday life. This reminds me one of the quotes of Donald Trump, “If you’re
going to be thinking, you may as well think big.” So, cultivate an optimistic
mind, use your imagination, always consider alternatives, and dare to believe
that you can make it possible.
There are mistakes we make in our
lives that cannot be fixed. And despite our best efforts and our best
intentions, there are people who sometimes will not forgive you. There are also
things that we, in our own lives, cannot forgive in others. This is just part
of the human experience.
Be wise enough to understand that not everything can be fixed, and
then who are you going to be? Well, Be You! That’s all you can do, no matter
how strong the current beats against you, or how heavy your burden, or how
tragic your love story. YOU KEEP GOING!
For what is worth: I hope you are
living a life, you’re proud of; and if not, I wish you all the strength it takes
for you to start over!
